Deadline: 08-Aug-2025
The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is inviting applications for the design and development of a virtual course focused on promoting Early Childhood Development (ECD) within communities.
This program is designed to equip community workers with the knowledge and skills to support families during children’s early years. It aims to foster healthy developmental pathways by addressing play, communication, language, and social interaction, with a focus on empowering adult caregivers as key agents in child development.
The course targets provincial technical teams, training them in ECD so they can manage and implement development-promoting strategies. These teams are also expected to act as trainers for community and health workers within their jurisdictions.
As part of the broader ECD Promotion Initiative underway in several provinces, UNICEF seeks to collaborate with an organization capable of creating educational materials for a virtual course. The course will serve to enhance the competencies of technical staff from provincial Ministries of Health, Education, Social Development, and childhood departments.
The focus areas of this initiative include child health and the strengthening of health systems. The expected outcomes include the creation of a virtual training program aligned with UNICEF’s existing framework, featuring asynchronous content like explanatory videos and supporting documents that complement current guides and tools used to identify developmental risk factors.
This initiative is based in Argentina and seeks to make training accessible and effective for professionals working in early childhood development across the country.
