Request for EOIs: Partnership on Childhood and Adolescent Evidence Generation (Dominican Republic)

Call for EOIs: Empowerment of Roma and Egyptian Girls and Boys - Montenegro

Deadline: 21-Oct-2025

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund is inviting expressions of interest from partners to implement a new initiative in Provincia Sánchez Ramírez, Dominican Republic, focusing on strengthening evidence generation, knowledge sharing, and capacity development to improve outcomes for children and adolescents.

With funding support of USD 95,000, this opportunity aims to advance cross-sectoral development and support key areas such as education, health, nutrition, gender equality, child protection, WASH, food security, livelihoods, and emergency preparedness.

The partnership seeks to co-generate applied research and studies that will produce high-quality, context-specific evidence to inform both programs and policies. Research priorities include improving early childhood service coverage, inclusion of children with disabilities, reducing neonatal and maternal mortality, strengthening learning outcomes and literacy, promoting positive parenting and reducing violent discipline, preventing early unions, improving adolescent access to sexual, reproductive and mental health services, and expanding climate-resilient and emergency-prepared services for children and adolescents.

A key element of the initiative is the establishment of knowledge management platforms, creating regular spaces for dialogue, analysis, and collaborative learning on emerging evidence. These platforms will foster ongoing reflection and decision-making processes that directly contribute to program improvement and advocacy.

The partnership will also enhance national capacities in monitoring, evaluation, research, and knowledge management. Selected partners will lead training and capacity-building activities in data generation, program monitoring, evaluation design, evidence translation, and knowledge-sharing processes, strengthening the ability of institutions to integrate evidence into policy and programming.

Finally, the project emphasizes the institutionalization of learning and knowledge practices to support system strengthening. By embedding evidence-based practices into program implementation and monitoring frameworks, the initiative aims to ensure sustainable improvements in child-focused services and policies.

This call represents an important opportunity to align research, policy, and practice for the benefit of children and adolescents in the Dominican Republic, ensuring their rights, well-being, and resilience are at the heart of development efforts.
