CFPs: Regional Programme for Local Democracy in the Western Balkans 3 (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

The Municipality of Gacko, in partnership with UNDP and supported by the European Union, invites civil society organizations (CSOs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina to submit project proposals under ReLOaD3. Funding is available across social policy, culture, sports, youth, rural development, environmental protection, and civic engagement initiatives, with grants ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 KM. Applications close after mentoring and support sessions beginning 26 November 2025.

Overview

The Regional Program for Local Democracy in the Western Balkans 3 (ReLOaD3) promotes local development and citizen participation. The Municipality of Gacko calls on registered CSOs to implement projects enhancing social inclusion, cultural access, youth engagement, environmental protection, rural development, and civic participation.

Focus Areas

Social Policy

  • Improve inclusion for persons with developmental difficulties

  • Enhance quality of life for persons with disabilities

  • Strengthen employment skills for hard-to-employ groups

  • Promote economic empowerment of women

  • Provide social inclusion activities for women survivors of domestic violence

Culture and Arts

  • Increase access to cultural content and creative expression

  • Promote arts, amateur creativity, and youth engagement

  • Protect and promote cultural heritage

Sports and Recreation

  • Support innovative recreational activities for children and youth

  • Promote amateur sports for socially excluded groups

Youth Initiatives

  • Promote healthy lifestyles, activism, peer education, and preventive health

  • Support cultural or artistic youth programs

Rural Development

  • Enhance quality of life through skill development and support for local products

  • Preserve indigenous species

Environmental Protection

  • Encourage environmental awareness, volunteerism, and eco-educational activities

Civic Engagement

  • Strengthen citizen participation in local decision-making processes

Funding LOTs

  • LOT 1: 5,000–15,000 KM | Duration: 4–10 months

  • LOT 2: 15,000–25,000 KM | Duration: 6–10 months

  • LOT 3: 25,000–50,000 KM | Duration: 6–10 months

Eligibility

  • All formally registered CSOs in Bosnia and Herzegovina

  • Submission of a registry extract is mandatory

  • Complete application package submitted electronically

  • Certified registry extract delivered by mail or in person in a sealed envelope

Application Process

  1. Attend the public presentation of the call on 26 November 2025

  2. Participate in mentoring sessions to prepare proposals aligned with call requirements

  3. Compile project proposal according to the selected LOT, including all mandatory documents

  4. Submit applications electronically and deliver the certified registry extract as required
