ICNL inviting Argentine Applications to get a Grant of up to US $ 20,000

The International Center for the Law of the Non-Profit Sector (ICNL) is pleased to invite the presentation of applications from civil society organizations in Argentina for a grant of up to US $ 20,000 to carry out activities related to the legal challenges that affect CSOs in the country.

ICNL is an international nonprofit organization that promotes an enabling legal environment for civil society, freedom of association and citizen participation worldwide. ICNL has provided technical assistance and research to support the reform of laws affecting civil society organizations (CSOs) in more than 100 countries. They turn to a worldwide network of partners and experts to produce innovative research and analysis on legal issues affecting civil society.

Subjects eligible for grants

The legal environment for civil society in Argentina consists of a wide range of laws, and proposals related to various relevant laws will be considered in the competition. Some illustrative examples of issues to be considered are the challenges related laws and practices governing the rights of civil society to:

  1. To create and operate a non-profit organization with formal recognition;
  2. Organize and participate in peaceful protests and meetings;
  3. Participate in activities related to anti-corruption activities;
  4. Organized, formally or informally, to promote and defend indigenous and environmental rights; or
  5. Express opinions, even through digital media.
