Deadline: 28-November-2025
The programme is designed to assist groups with core running costs or programme activities that clearly contribute to building positive relationships and reducing division at a local level.
Projects supported under this grant must align with one of the key themes of the Executive Office’s regional Good Relations strategy, Together: Building a United Community. These themes focus on empowering children and young people, fostering a shared and inclusive community, promoting safety and respect among residents, and supporting positive cultural expression. Successful applications will show how their activities can bring people together, increase dialogue and understanding, and create opportunities for shared experiences.
The grant offers awards of up to £1,000, making it especially suitable for smaller local initiatives, community events, workshops, or ongoing support activities that have a clear community-building purpose. To be eligible, applicants must be non-profit community or voluntary organisations, ensure that at least 90% of the project’s beneficiaries are based within the Council area, and demonstrate a strong community development approach. Organisations must also ensure they have not already exceeded the maximum number of awards permitted within the current financial year.
This funding programme provides a practical opportunity for grassroots groups to strengthen local relationships, create shared spaces, and foster mutual respect, ultimately contributing to a more connected and inclusive community environment.
