Applications open for Brockaghboy Community Benefit Fund (UK)

Submissions open for Community Grants Program (Australia)

Deadline: 06-Nov-2025

The Brockaghboy Community Benefit Fund invites community-based organisations operating within a 6 km straight-line radius of the Brockaghboy Wind Farm in Swatragh, County Derry/Londonderry to apply for grants designed to support local development and regeneration.

The fund, established by TCI Renewables (now managed by Greencoat Capital) in collaboration with the Community Foundation Northern Ireland, aims to channel resources into grassroots initiatives with visible community benefit.

Projects eligible under this scheme might focus on reducing poverty and disadvantage, improving health and wellbeing, supporting vulnerable populations, promoting sustainability and tackling climate change, enhancing sports, culture and heritage, improving youth and elderly participation, or strengthening local community infrastructure. Organisations whose work fosters collaboration among local groups, serves marginalised or disadvantaged people, boosts the use of existing community spaces, or encourages intergenerational engagement are especially welcomed.

Grants of up to £3,000 are available, giving smaller community-led projects the chance to access meaningful funding that can help bring local ideas to life. The fund is geared towards supporting authentic community benefit rather than large-scale commercial ventures or statutory obligations.

This opportunity is particularly relevant for registered charitable or voluntary groups active within the designated area around the wind farm. For organisations that meet the eligibility criteria and whose proposals align with the fund’s emphasis on local impact, sustainability and inclusion, the Brockaghboy Community Benefit Fund offers a targeted pathway to support their work and enhance neighbourhood resilience and cohesion.
