Apply Now: High Sheriff and Merseyside Police Charitable Fund (UK)

Micro-Grants for Legal Compliance Support for Women-Led/Serving CSOs in Chitral (Pakistan)

Deadline: 10-Nov-2025

The High Sheriff and Merseyside Police Charitable Fund offers a compelling opportunity for voluntary bodies and community groups in Merseyside to access grants of up to £2,500 for one year to support initiatives in crime prevention, diversionary activities, and community safety.

Projects should aim to enhance quality of life by preventing harm or fear of harm, protecting people and property, engaging young people to reduce vulnerability to crime and anti-social behavior, or raising safety awareness in local communities.

Applicants must have been constituted for at least 12 months, provide a letter of support (ideally from a police community support officer or equivalent), and agree to submit supporting documents such as governing documents, financial records, bank statements, and safeguarding policies.

While the fund does not normally finance CCTV or security systems, exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Core costs and ongoing activities aligned with the fund’s focus may be supported, and special emphasis is being placed on projects that use arts and culture as diversionary tools to help reduce youth antisocial behavior.

The fund is not open to statutory bodies, national charities without local governance, for-profit entities, vehicle purchases, religious or political campaigns, retrospective projects, or those lacking appropriate governance structures or independent trustees.
