Deadline: 24-Oct-2025

The We Love Lichfield Fund is a place-based grant scheme designed to support community and voluntary organisations within the district of Lichfield, including Burntwood and nearby villages.

Its focus is on improving the quality of life for local residents by funding projects that deliver services, enhance existing provisions, or introduce new opportunities for community benefit.

Grants of up to £1,000 are available and can be used for both capital and revenue projects. Applications are accepted throughout the year, but funding decisions are made twice annually—once in May and again in November. While repeat applications are not typically funded for the same project in consecutive years, exceptions may be made where there is clear evidence of growth, increased demand, or significant new developments.

The fund is open to constituted community and voluntary groups, registered charities, and social enterprises. Eligible organisations must be based within the Lichfield district and have a proven track record of delivering services to the community. The aim of the fund is to support local initiatives that benefit residents through improved services, expanded reach, or greater operational efficiency.

However, the fund is not available to non-constituted groups, statutory agencies, or organisations established less than six months ago. Groups with an annual income exceeding £1 million are also ineligible, as are limited companies, sole traders, or partnerships without clear charitable aims. The focus remains on supporting grassroots efforts that are rooted in the local area and committed to long-term positive impact.

The We Love Lichfield Fund continues to be a valuable source of support for organisations looking to make a difference in their communities, offering both flexibility in funding and a strong emphasis on local engagement.
