Deadline: 20-Aug-2025

The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Conservation Fund (SVGCF) is inviting grant proposals for projects that aim to strengthen ecosystems through innovation and community-driven action. The initiative encourages integrated conservation efforts that connect land and sea, while enabling local communities to take a leading role in environmental stewardship.

The main goals of this call include protecting critical ecosystems from threats like pollution and climate change, improving the governance and management of marine protected areas, increasing public awareness of conservation, and supporting sustainable livelihoods through funding and training opportunities.

This fourth call for proposals focuses on the blue economy. Applicants may submit project ideas in areas such as sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, marine protected area management, coastal ecosystem conservation, pollution reduction, sustainable tourism, and climate change adaptation. Projects should align with these focus areas to qualify for support.

The total funding available under this call is approximately XCD $253,650. Grants will range from XCD $13,500 to $81,000 (equivalent to USD $5,000–$30,000), and projects must be completed within 24 months.

Eligible applicants include government agencies, local universities, registered local or regional NGOs, private businesses, community associations, and other local entities in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Each applicant type has specific funding requirements. For example, public agencies must provide a 1:1 match in funds (with no more than 50% as in-kind), and private businesses must provide a 2:1 cash match and cannot profit from the project.

Applications must demonstrate alignment with SVGCF’s mission and goals, and applicants must show that they are legally registered and capable of delivering effective conservation outcomes within the project period.
