Empowering Creative Youth: Digital Art Contest for Poverty Awareness (Uzbekistan)

The Digital Art Contest organized by the UNDP Uzbekistan aims to foster social responsibility among young people, encouraging them to participate in addressing key issues related to poverty and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Focus: Raise awareness about SDG 1 (ending poverty) by highlighting multidimensional poverty and using digital artworks as impactful tools to inspire dialogue and action toward poverty alleviation.

The contest aims to achieve the following goals: Inspire and engage young people in Uzbekistan to creatively express their perspectives on hidden dimensions of poverty and inequality through digital art.

The contest welcomes applicants aged 7 to 25 residing in Uzbekistan. Submissions must adhere to the theme of addressing the Hidden Dimensions of Poverty in Uzbekistan, focusing on Multidimensional Poverty and raising awareness of its societal impacts. Artworks should be in digital format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and scalable for both print and digital use. Each submission may include a caption of up to 30 words in Uzbek, Russian, or English.

Participants may submit only one entry, and all artworks will be judged on creativity, adherence to the theme, and artistic expression. The top winners will receive special prizes, with results announced on October 17, 2025, through UNDP’s social media platforms.

By participating, entrants grant organizers the right to display, reproduce, and distribute their artworks for promotional and educational purposes with due credit. Participants are also responsible for ensuring that their work complies with copyright and intellectual property laws.
