India in Numbers – Story of Progress Vlog Contest

Deadline: 10-Aug-2025

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), in partnership with MyGov, is hosting a Vlog-Making Contest for students, teachers, and researchers. The theme of the contest is “India in Numbers: Story of Progress.”

Participants are invited to create 1–2 minute audio-visual stories using statistical data provided by MoSPI. These stories should highlight national developments such as economic growth, increased female labor force participation, rising UPI usage, digital inclusion, improved healthcare access, educational attainment, or infrastructure growth. Local community insights related to these developments can also be included.

The goal is to turn raw data from MoSPI reports, the micro data site, or the e-Sankhyiki portal into compelling visual narratives. This contest aims to enhance data literacy and creative communication among participants.

The top 10 winners will each receive ₹25,000, while the next 20 winners will be awarded ₹15,000 each. All winners will also get digital certificates.

Eligible participants include students, data enthusiasts, content creators, and professionals interested in storytelling and data visualization.

Entries will be judged on how accurately and clearly the statistical data is presented, the creativity of the storytelling, the quality of production, and the ability to engage viewers.

To participate, applicants must choose a MoSPI dataset and produce a 1–2 minute vlog interpreting the data creatively. The video must be posted on social media platforms like X, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube using the hashtags #StatsForNation and #GOIStatsForYou. Participants should tag @goistats on their posts and submit the video link through MyGov by uploading it in a Word or PDF file.
