New Zealand: Waitākere Ranges Quick Response Grant 2025

U.S. Mission to Vietnam: Public Diplomacy Section

Deadline: 01-Aug-2025

Applications are now open for the Waitākere Ranges Quick Response Grant, supporting small-scale projects in the areas of arts, community, environment, events, heritage, and sports and recreation.

The grant provides funding between $500 and $1,500. Projects that align with certain health and sustainability values will be prioritized. These include smokefree and healthy food initiatives, waste minimization efforts, and activities that build community resilience, connectedness, and wellbeing.

Applications will receive lower priority if the applicant has significant cash reserves without justification, if the project occurs outside the local board area without clear community benefit, or if the project has already received local board funding during the current financial year. National organizations are also less likely to receive funding.

The grant will not support events that advertise alcohol or fast food—particularly those involving children or youth—nor applicants with outstanding reporting obligations from previous grants. Projects that have already been funded twice in the current financial year by the Waitākere Ranges Local Board will also not be considered.
