Request for Proposals for Provision of Creative Sector Training in Libya

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a request for proposals for Provision of Creative Sector Training to organize a comprehensive Creative Economy Digital training for two selected cohorts of participants to advance their economic potential of creative activities including but not limited craft-making, fashion, design, marketing or beauty services.

UNDP Libya through the EU funded project Strengthening Local Capacities for Resilience and Recovery aims at supporting local authorities to respond to the many conflict and human mobility induced challenges – by strengthening the local resilience and recovery mechanisms – that impact negatively citizens’ access to economic opportunities and sources of livelihoods.

The Contractor shall use creative economy curriculums, and organize the training sessions in Tripoli focusing on range of creative economy drivers such as social media, market access, design and online designs. The setup of the creative economy training will be guided by preliminary assessment organized by UNDP in Tripoli in the selected center (one of the locations).

Objectives

Creative Economy training targets opening or enhancing economic opportunities for talented craft-makers, fashion designers, stylists and marketing, photography providers in Libya. The assignment will include the following objectives:

Scope of Works and Expected Outputs

Creative Economy Digital Training includes the following components and durations for a training of a cohort:

Training must be delivered using hybrid or blended-learning approach, allowing participants to have in-person engagement and facilitation, as well as work on their designs, branding, and products online, and get guidance and mentorship along way. Estimated participation for the first cohort is minimum 20 people and for the second cohort minimum 40 people.

Special considerations in training package setup should be given to cultural context of Libya.
