RFAs: New Albion Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund (UK)

Local Enhancement Programme Capital Funding (Ireland)

Deadline: 12-Sep-2025

The New Albion Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund has been established to support projects that positively impact residents of the Rushton and Pipewell parishes.

Created on behalf of New Albion Wind Limited, the fund aims to provide grants for initiatives that benefit the local community through charitable, educational, environmental, and general community amenity activities. The fund will be available for the lifetime of the wind farm and is independently managed by the Northamptonshire Community Foundation.

The fund supports a broad range of community projects including training and volunteering schemes, creation and maintenance of pocket parks and green spaces, arts and heritage preservation, youth clubs, and safety initiatives. These projects should focus on benefiting the local residents of Rushton and Pipewell and can cover new activities, startup costs, or the expansion of existing efforts.

Eligible groups must be small, locally managed, voluntary, community, or self-help organizations, with a preference for groups having active volunteers beyond their management committee. Projects may apply for grants up to £10,000, with the possibility of larger awards depending on the scope. Applicants are required to have a written constitution or set of rules and must uphold safeguarding practices, including child protection or vulnerable persons’ policies and an equalities policy to ensure the safety and inclusion of all participants.

This fund offers a valuable opportunity for local groups to access financial support to enhance the well-being, environment, and social fabric of the Rushton and Pipewell communities throughout the lifespan of the New Albion Wind Farm.
