RFPs: FCC Scottish Action Fund Program (UK)

Applications open for Norden 0–30 Funding Programme 2024

Deadline: 19-Nov-2025

The FCC Scottish Action Fund is offering a valuable opportunity for not-for-profit organisations across Scotland to secure funding for projects that benefit the environment, community spaces, and local heritage.

With grants ranging from £2,000 to £40,000, the fund supports a wide range of initiatives designed to improve public amenities, promote biodiversity, encourage recycling, and preserve historic buildings.

Projects must align with the objectives of the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund, which focuses on land reclamation, community-based recycling, the development and maintenance of public spaces, conservation of wildlife and habitats, and the preservation of historic or religious buildings that are accessible to the public. This means that a wide variety of projects can be considered, from restoring green spaces and improving parks to supporting community reuse schemes or conserving natural habitats.

Eligible applicants in Scotland include registered charities, churches, community councils, local authorities, and other community-based groups. The key requirement is that the organisation operates on a not-for-profit basis and that the project delivers public benefit.

For projects located in England, a specific geographical requirement must be met. Applications are only accepted for projects based within 10 miles of an eligible FCC Environment or Severn Waste Services facility. An interactive map is available to help applicants confirm their location’s eligibility before starting the application process.

With careful planning and a clear demonstration of community or environmental impact, organisations have the chance to secure meaningful support through the FCC Scottish Action Fund. This funding opportunity can help bring positive change to local areas, restore vital community assets, and encourage sustainable practices.
