Yelvertoft Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund: United Kingdom

€10,000 Energia Meenadreen Community Benefit Fund in Ireland

Deadline: 03-Oct-2025

The Yelvertoft Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund offers grants to projects that benefit residents living in the parishes of Clay Coton, Crick, Lilbourne, or Yelvertoft. The fund supports a wide range of charitable, educational, environmental, and community-focused projects that enhance local life around the wind farm area.

This funding is part of a long-term commitment, available throughout the 25-year operational lifespan of the Yelvertoft Wind Farm. The total grant amount available is £30,000, and individual projects can receive up to £7,000 in funding. While small projects are prioritized, larger initiatives may also be considered.

Eligible projects may include training and volunteering programs, pocket parks and green space enhancements, arts and local heritage preservation, youth clubs, and community safety schemes. Both revenue and capital projects are eligible for support.

To qualify, projects must be based within and serve the residents of the specified local parishes. Applications can be for new activities, start-up costs, or for expanding existing community work. Groups must be small, locally managed voluntary or community organizations, including self-help groups. Parish Councils may also apply, provided the activities are non-statutory.

Social enterprises with persons of significant control are generally not eligible. Projects must involve volunteers beyond the core management committee. Applicant groups must also have a constitution or set of written rules, and support is available for new groups needing help with this requirement.
