Call for Applications: Self Management Fund in United Kingdom

Micro-Grants for Legal Compliance Support for Women-Led/Serving CSOs in Chitral (Pakistan)

Deadline: 19-Dec-2025

The Self Management Fund was created by the Scottish Government to support development of co-produced, person-centred, self-management activity across Scotland.

The focus of the fund is learning from the experience of disabled people, individuals living with long-term conditions, and unpaid carers, and using these insights to guide the development and delivery of self-management initiatives.

The fund provides two types of grants: Small Grants offer up to £15,000 for up to 12 months through a single-stage application process, while Large Grants provide up to £150,000 for up to 36 months through a two-stage application process.

Eligible applicants include constituted not-for-profit organisations such as charities, community interest companies, and community groups that have a minimum of three Directors, Trustees, or Board Members, a bank account in the organisation’s name requiring dual authorisation, appropriate safeguarding policies, and a governing document with a charitable dissolution lock, charitable objectives aligned with the proposed activity, and stipulations ensuring no more than 49% of board members are paid for services.

The fund supports projects that enable individuals to take an active role in managing their own health and wellbeing, develop peer-led initiatives, and create sustainable models of self-management that can be shared across communities. Projects should demonstrate co-production with those who have lived experience and foster collaboration between organisations, carers, and service users.

This fund provides an important opportunity for organisations to design and implement activities that directly empower people with long-term conditions, carers, and disabled individuals to improve their quality of life while strengthening community-based support systems.
