DFID Malawi: Violence against Women and Girls Prevention and Response Programme

2022 Tribal Sexual Assault Services Program (US)

Deadline: 7 February 2018

The UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) is seeking applications for “Violence against Women and Girls Prevention and Response Programme” to reduce the prevalence of violence against women and girls and ensure progress towards the full realisation of women and children’s human rights.

The Programme will be delivered in two phases. In the first phase (Years 1-3), the Supplier will develop, test and adapt a comprehensive local level package(s) of GBV prevention and response interventions in different community contexts. The package of interventions would help to shift social norms and help to ensure improved justice outcomes for women and child survivors of GBV/VAC. The approaches/ models in these prevention and response packages will vary across impact areas as they will depend on what is already happening in the impact areas. These will be rigorously evaluated and the most successful package of interventions will be scaled up in the second phase (years 4-6). National level interventions will seek to improve justice outcomes of VAWG survivors.
