The Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), and the SE of the G5 Sahel through the Intergovernmental Regional Financing Committee (CRF) in the Sahel, are pleased to announce a call for expressions of interest for civil society organizations from Burkina Faso, Mali and of Niger to become a Principal Recipient of GCERF funding.

The general objective of PATI is to help improve the economic and social living conditions of the populations of the Liptako Gourma cross-border area through better access to infrastructure and economic services. According to the terms of reference of the project, this objective will be achieved through two main specific objectives which concern, on the one hand, the increase in agro-pastoral productivity, the resilience of actors and social cohesion in the cross-border zone of the zone. center, and on the other hand, improve the access of populations, especially the most vulnerable (women, children, displaced persons, refugees, host communities and mobile populations, etc.) in the cross-border zone of the central zone to basic social services and jobs in livestock value chains.

Priority Program Areas

GCERF, in consultation with the SE of the G5 Sahel, will finance civil society organizations and local associations to implement programs:

The programs will be implemented with the collaboration of decentralized government authorities (local authorities), where appropriate, and will align with existing regional and national action plans and strategies for preventing and combating violent extremism.
