Deadline: 1 December 2025
The Grief Reach Community Education has been made available through the National Alliance for Children’s Grief (NACG) aimed at supporting local education events for professionals who serve bereaved children.
The focus is on equipping teachers, counselors, social workers and other support personnel with the knowledge and tools needed to improve grief support services for children in their communities.
“2026 Grief Reach Community Education” organisations based in the United States are invited to apply for grants of $10,000, targeted specifically to fund community education events. This grant supports free or low-cost training or workshops that foster collaboration and build capacity among professionals working with grieving children.
To be eligible, organisations must be U.S.–based nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status and must have an annual revenue of at least $100,000. Organisations are required to provide their most recent IRS Form 990 as part of the submission.
The grant programme is designed to increase access to bereavement support services in local communities (especially diverse communities), enhance the capacity of organisations providing those services, expand services into unmet areas, and support those affected by grief and loss with tangible resources. Organisations that design education events to train professionals to better support children navigating bereavement are encouraged to apply.
This opportunity is an excellent chance for nonprofits working in childhood bereavement support to expand their reach, strengthen community-based training, and enhance outcomes for children and families Experiencing loss.
