Applications Open for BHEARD Scholarship Program in Rwanda

Borlaug Higher Education Agricultural Research and Development (BHEARD) is seeking applicants for its scholarships program to support master’s or PhD study at regional universities in Africa, beginning in August 2017 or January 2018.

BHEARD is an agricultural research capacity-building project supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under its Feed the Future program. The main purpose is to strengthen research capacities of agricultural research units and universities in participating countries.

Training programs will cover up to two years of courses and research for master’s students and three years for PhD students. Course work will be undertaken at a regional university, and the student’s research project will be conducted in Rwanda.
