Call for EOIs: WFP School Meals Program (Haiti)

Deadline: 18-Jul-2025

The World Food Programme (WFP) has launched a call to recruit experienced NGOs, referred to as Operators or Partner Cooperators (PC), to support its School Meals Program in Haiti. These partners will provide key services including supervision, training, and follow-up at schools that benefit from this vital assistance.

WFP, committed to the fight against global hunger, has been active in Haiti since 1969. Through its School Meals Program, it works alongside the Haitian government and both local and international NGOs to ensure children receive daily hot meals during the school year. This initiative supports food security, nutrition, and access to education for students across the country.

The program focuses on several key sectors, including school meals within education, food assistance under food security, logistics such as last-mile delivery and procurement, and nutrition, particularly infant and young child feeding.

Geographically, the initiative is focused on the Departement de l’Ouest in Haiti. Operators will be expected to conduct monthly school inspections to verify proper canteen management and ensure each school has an active school council and canteen management committee.

Training and awareness sessions must be delivered on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, gender equality, and environmental standards. Canteen managers will receive training on proper use of management tools, and cooks will be trained in safe food handling, hygienic practices, and sustainable water disposal.

Each cook will receive a daily bonus of 475 HTG per day worked, with staffing ratios set at one cook per 100 students and up to four compensated cooks for larger schools.

Organizations will be selected based on their local presence, experience in relevant sectors, the quality and relevance of their proposals, and the feasibility of their proposed timelines and implementation plans.
