Calls for Applications: Organisational Development Grants

Small Grants Programme for World Day for Assistive Technology

Deadline: 12-Oct-2025

The Asfari Foundation is offering Organisational Development Grants designed to strengthen civil society organisations in the Levant region.

These grants are aimed at helping small to medium-sized organisations improve their strategic capacity so they can better address regional challenges and serve their communities. Alongside funding of up to £25,000, recipients will receive technical support and coaching to build resilience, governance, transparency and innovation within their operations.

Applicants should be not-for-profits, social enterprises, or mission-driven companies with at least 50% reinvestment of profits, operating in or for Levantine communities in Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine or Syria. Organisations with average annual budgets between £100,000 and £750,000 are preferred, and priority is given to those that have not previously partnered with the Foundation. Proposals should align with one or more of the Foundation’s thematic areas such as governance, media, active citizenship, education, innovation, entrepreneurship, or gender equality.

The application process is two-stage, starting with a concept note followed by a full proposal for those shortlisted. There is also an eligibility quiz and due diligence stage before final decisions are made. Applications may be submitted in Arabic even though forms are currently only in English. The process typically spans three to four months from open call to decision.

This grant presents a valuable chance for organisations in the Levant to access both funding and capacity building opportunities that can help them scale impact, enhance internal systems, and contribute more effectively to the development and stability of their communities.
