Correctional/Institutional Education Program in the US

The Oklahoma Department of Career & Technology Education Adult Basic Education Division is requesting proposals for the Correctional/Institutional Education Program to implement adult basic education.

The purpose of this grant proposal is to fund programs that: 

Funds under Correctional/Institutional Education may be used to support educational programs for transition to re-entry initiatives and other post-release services with the goal of reducing recidivism. Such use of funds may include educational counseling or case work to support incarcerated individuals' transition to re-entry and other post-release services.

Duration

The grant period will begin July 1, 2022. The award cycle for all grants will be for four years. Awards will be given for program years 2022-2023, 2023-2024, 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.

Eligible Activities

The eligible provider receiving a grant shall use the funds to establish or operate programs that provide adult education and literacy activities, including programs that provide such activities concurrently. Below are the defined activities:
