K-12 Education Grant Program: Global Health in US

Open Call for Proposals for Farm Safety, Health and Wellbeing Projects (Ireland)

Deadline: 16-Nov-2025

The Pulitzer Center has launched its K–12 Education Grant Program to engage U.S. students and educators in global health issues through impactful educational projects.

This initiative invites proposals that utilize Pulitzer Center-supported journalism to foster a deeper understanding of global health topics and encourage actionable learning within local communities. The focus areas of the program include global health topics such as disparities in healthcare access, the impacts of global aid and policies, reproductive health, socio-economic and racial equality, pharmaceutical practices, and health research and innovation. Projects should incorporate these topics into classroom or community-based learning to increase awareness and understanding of global health challenges.

The program offers professional development and funding opportunities. Participants who meet all incubator requirements receive a $300 stipend and are invited to submit formal proposals for project implementation. Grants of up to $1,500 are available to implement approved projects between February 1 and May 30, 2026. Funding can cover project-related materials, activities, and engagement resources that enhance learning and application of global health knowledge.

Eligible applicants are K–12 teachers, librarians, school administrators, and education-focused staff in accredited U.S. schools or districts. Participants must design projects that reach a minimum of 500 K–12 students and/or educators and demonstrate the ability to implement and document the learning outcomes of their proposed activities. Applicants are required to participate in the winter incubator, including professional learning workshops with Pulitzer Center staff and journalists.
