Open Call: McKinsey.org Forward Learning Program in Africa

Junior Professionals Program for West African Women

Deadline: 29-Sep-2025

Applicants are now invited to submit applications for the McKinsey.org Forward Learning Program, a free ten-week learning program designed to equip individuals at different stages of their careers – from career starters to job changers – with practical skills to succeed in the future of work.

Turn business problems into opportunities by using structured and creative thinking. Communicate in a clear and impactful way that makes your audience take action. Be adaptable and build emotional awareness for working in a team or alone, especially in times of change. Build strong relationships and maintain your well-being at work. Develop your digital tool kit and plan to navigate the modern digital world.

The program offers an interactive learning journey that combines digital courses, virtual-learning events, assignments, and reflection exercises. Participants dedicate about two hours a week over ten weeks, making it manageable alongside professional or personal commitments. The experience culminates in a McKinsey.org Forward digital badge and entry into an exclusive global network of lifelong learners.

Forward is open to participants who currently reside on the African continent, have less than five years of total work experience, and have completed at least a high school education or equivalent. Applicants must also have prior work experience, which may include internships or apprenticeships, and a good command of English. Those in nonprofit or non-managerial roles may still qualify even with more than five years of experience.

The program is free of charge as part of McKinsey’s social responsibility commitment. All participants will need their own internet-connected device and access, as the program is delivered fully online. Upon completing the Core Skills level, participants receive a certificate of completion and a personalized digital badge that can be shared across social platforms.

It is important to note that McKinsey is not an accredited educational institution, and the program does not grant an accredited qualification or credential. However, the skills, tools, and networks gained through the experience are designed to be applied immediately in the workplace. The deadline for application is 29 September 2025.
