RFAs: Sports Stafford Borough Scholarship Grant Scheme (United Kingdom)

Young Forum Gastein Scholarship Programme

Deadline: 01-Oct-2025

The Community Foundation for Staffordshire is inviting applications for its Sports Stafford Borough Scholarship Grant Scheme to allocate funds for talented sports performers, local sports clubs and local sports coaches.

The Stafford Borough programme offers three funding categories: The Sports Award and the Coaching Grant, both of which can be applied for via Grants for Community Groups, and the Scholarship for Individuals, which is available through Grants for Individuals.

The Scholarship Fund is designed to provide financial support to individuals who are in full-time education, live within Stafford Borough, and compete at county level or above in their chosen sport. The Scholarship Fund provides grants of up to £750 to support young athletes with specialist equipment, training costs, and other sport-related expenses. The award is designed to be paid in a single lump sum and must be spent within 12 months of receipt, ensuring that support is timely and directly benefits the recipient’s sporting development.

The funding can be used to cover costs such as specialist equipment, training, and other sport-related expenses. The Scholarship Fund is specifically designed to provide financial support to individuals who are in full-time education, live within Stafford Borough, and compete at county level or above in their chosen sport.

Eligible applicants must reside within the Stafford Borough District and be in full-time education while competing at county level or above in their chosen sport. This initiative aims to help talented young individuals achieve their sporting potential by alleviating financial barriers that may hinder their progress.

Applications are reviewed by a panel, and the deadline for submissions is 1st October 2025. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply promptly to ensure their application is considered during the October panel review.
