Deadline: 29-Jul-2025
The International Development Education and Awareness Raising (IDEAR) Grant will be awarded to a charity, business, organisation, or partnership registered in the Isle of Man. Its purpose is to support the delivery of global development education and to raise awareness of international development issues on the Island in a creative and engaging way.
Recipients of the grant will be expected to collaborate with other third sector groups and work with the External Relations team in the Cabinet Office. This partnership will help enhance education and awareness about global issues within the Manx community.
The key goal is to increase the Manx population’s understanding of global development, international issues, and the Island’s role in this space. Grant holders will run or attend events on the Island and maintain regular communication with the Cabinet Office to discuss challenges and explore new opportunities.
They will also be responsible for promoting engagement with all age groups in topics related to global development and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Activities may include global development education, education for sustainable development, human rights education, and partnerships with the private sector to promote corporate social responsibility.
The programme will focus on results in areas such as primary and post-primary education, higher education, youth services, and adult and community education.
The grant provides £60,000 over two years (£30,000 per year) from August 2025 to August 2027. Applicants must be either registered under the Isle of Man Charities Registration and Regulation Act 2019 or be a company registered with the Isle of Man Companies Registry.
