UN Women CFPs: Implementing Partner for Training & Empowerment of Marginalized Women/Girls in Higher Institutes

CFPs: Ensuring Women’s Health, Wellness and Safety in the Textile and Cotton Sector (India)

Deadline: 29-Nov-2024

The UN Women WeSTEM 2.0 project builds on the success of its predecessor to bridge gender gaps in STEM fields.

Initiated in Madhya Pradesh and expanding to Gujarat, the project aims to empower 2,500 young women, particularly from marginalized backgrounds, by providing training in 21st-century digital and employability skills. Through partnerships with vocational and technical institutes, WeSTEM 2.0 promotes gender sensitization, internships, industry exposure, and job placements, fostering sustainable economic participation.

The program will work with young women from science backgrounds, enrolled in distance learning, to enable them to envision a career path and upskill themselves. The project will also offer pathways and support to access internships, apprenticeships and employment opportunities to the women.
