The UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE) is currently inviting interested organisations to submit their proposals for organisation and holding the international training workshop “Digital technologies and transformation of higher education” in Tbilisi (Republic of Georgia).
The event is aimed at contributing to building the capacities of university administrations and academic staff to use the digital technologies to improve the efficiency and quality of universities’ performance.
Between 25 September and 25 November 2018, the organisation shall perform the following tasks within the preparation and holding the two-day training workshop in Tbilisi:
- To invite and ensure the participation of 50 representatives of university administrations and academic staff concerned with the subject of using digital technologies to improve the efficiency and quality of universities’ performance (at least 40 participants from at least two regions of the Republic of Georgia, at least 5 participants from the Republic of Armenia, at least 5 participants from the Republic of Azerbaijan).
- To cover travel expenses to and from the venue of the training workshop for the foreign participants and participants from the Republic of Georgia living outside Tbilisi (at least 12 participants).
- To book hotel rooms for the foreign participants and participants from the Republic of Georgia living outside Tbilisi, and cover the cost of lodging (at least four-star hotel for 12 participants for three nights, breakfast included).
- To provide the participants, speakers and moderators of the training workshop with catering and cover its cost (at least 56 persons, four coffee breaks, two lunches).
- To provide two premises for 60 and 30 participants for two days and the equipment necessary for the training workshop, including PCs, screens and projectors, and simultaneous interpreting equipment for two languages.
- To organize simultaneous translation from English into Russian and from Russian into English during two working days.
- To produce 60 kits of materials for participants (programme, list of participants, notebook and pen).
- To organize registration of participants and provide technical and logistical arrangements for the training workshop.
- To organize evening cultural programme for the training workshop participants including guided tour of Tbilisi.
- To provide information support for the training workshop, including preparation and publication on the Internet of the announcement and the post release on the event, and professional photo shooting during the training workshop (at least 50 photos in high resolution).
Criteria
Applicants must meet the following qualification requirements:
- proven experience in organisation and holding international events in the area of education and science;
- the minimum period of the official registration of the organisation as a legal entity shall be at least two years.
