The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in Vietnam through WWF-Norway and Thua Thien Hue Innovation Startup Center is pleased to launch the contest “Initiative to reduce plastic waste – Hue 2023 with the desire to find creative ideas to reduce the problem of plastic waste in Vietnam. Hue city, contributing efforts to make Hue free of plastic waste in nature.

The contest “Initiative to reduce plastic waste – Hue 2023” is designed to create opportunities for individuals, organizations and start-up businesses nationwide to showcase their talents, creativity, and civic responsibility. Green in the era of digital technology is transforming extremely strongly, contributing to the effort to reduce plastic waste in Hue city.

Participating in the competition, participating individuals/groups will also be trained and improved through a program of guidance and support from leading experts in the field of incubation and project management. Ten (10) teams selected for the semi-finals will be trained in 02 topics: 1. Project management and operation model; 2. Project financial management. After the teams present and give feedback to the judges at the final round, the winning teams will continue to be consulted and supported by experts 1:1 to complete the operation and model management plan. . The winning team will be selected based on criteria related to financial management ability.
