Nominations are now open for the European Solar Diversity Champion Awards 2022.
As solar grows, so must the solar workforce. SolarPower Europe’s #SolarWorks campaign with Grow with Google showcases the multitude of jobs available in their sector. Today, solar provides 357,000 direct and indirect jobs in Europe. Solar is fast becoming the backbone of the energy system and could supply 1.1 million jobs in 2030.
Just as revolutionary solar technology changes the way they look at energy generation, the solar sector must do their part to take society forward in other ways, and dismantle any outdated, unfair barriers to employment that face underrepresented groups. Every workplace must be inclusive, regardless of gender or sexual identity, race or cultural background, or disability status.
The winners of the European Solar Diversity Champion Awards 2022 will be voted for at the upcoming SolarPower Summit.

Eligibility Criteria
For the European Solar Diversity Champion Awards 2022, they invite companies active in the solar market to share their diversity initiatives and successes.
Criteria
- The voting will take place at the SolarPower Summit 2022 on 31 March.
- The proposals of companies participating in the European Solar Diversity Champion Awards 2022 will be reviewed by a selected jury. On the 22nd of March, the three finalists will present their diversity work during a public webinar.
- The recordings of the webinar will be made available to the participants of the SolarPower Summit, who will be voting for the winner.
- The winner will be awarded European Solar Diversity Champion 2022.
