WRAP and Innovate UK are delighted to be able to offer an International Circular Plastics Flagship Competition covering the areas of India, Chile, Kenya and South Africa to support innovators, investors and key industry stakeholders interested in transforming the global plastic packaging supply chain within these countries.
The Programme aims to catalyse partnerships to address one of the world’s most urgent and escalating environmental challenges and demonstrate how innovation can contribute towards systematic change.
They are looking for organisations who can demonstrate demand driven innovation by sourcing solutions that help meet specific Plastic Pact targets to reduce plastic pollution in India, Chile, Kenya and South Africa. They believe this will open opportunities for UK businesses, innovators and in-country partners to work collaboratively to address the in-country challenges.
Funding Information
- A total of £1.7 million has been allocated to the Competition.
- Eligible applicants can apply for funding that will range in value from £50,000 to £250,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The International Circular Plastics Flagship Competition is open to applications from UK entities only, and applicants must hold a UK bank account. If you are an organisation registered in India, Chile, Kenya, or South Africa and you would like to be involved, please approach your UK registered partners about collaborating on a project that meets the scope of this scheme.
