The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund is seeking applications for Healthy Schools: Improving Conditions in Centers Educational to Strengthen Resilience and Prevent Diseases Derived from the Lack of Adequate Services ASH in 52 schools (Lot 1) Chichicastenango, Quiché.

When girls and boys are provided with access to safe water, sanitation and adequate facilities for the development of hygiene practices in educational units, they have a favorable environment to study, learn and develop their full potential, while providing more opportunities for girls to attend school during their periods.

To ensure that girls and boys in 53 schools in the municipality of Chichicastenango have access to a school environment that contributes to improving their health and education through adequate drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene services, as well as the promotion of hygiene, health, and menstrual hygiene.
