Deadline: 18-Aug-23

Applications are now open for the East Africa Biodesign Fellowship Program, a leading-edge initiative at the University of Global Health Equity in partnership with the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign and the Center of Excellence in Biomedical Engineering and eHealth under the University of Rwanda.

Whether you’re early in your career or an experienced professional looking to excel in this dynamic and rapidly evolving field, the EAB fellowship offers an exciting pathway to high-impact entrepreneurship in healthcare. Throughout the program, fellows will interact with global experts and build a professional network that can help them launch or boost their careers in health technology innovation.

Over the 10-month fellowship, successful applicants will engage in a transformative project-based learning experience, combining classroom instruction, hands-on experience, and mentorship from experts in the field. They will learn how to identify unmet clinical needs, conduct rigorous research and analysis, and leverage a deep appreciation of health needs and opportunities to develop innovative solutions that make a real impact towards equitable healthcare delivery.

The inaugural EAB cohort will be four fellows, priority will be given to candidates from the East African Community member states with a background in the fields of engineering, business, medicine, and other health sciences.
