African Academy for Open-Source Investigation Fellowship in Cote D’Ivoire and Senegal

Deadline: 12-Feb-25

Are you a newsroom based in Côte d’Ivoire or Senegal interested in strengthening the capacities of your journalists? The Code for Africa (CfA) is offering African Academy for Open-Source Investigation (AAOSI) Fellowships to mentor newsrooms/organisations.

The programme aims to equip journalists from investigative media and watchdog NGOs with open-source intelligence (OSINT) and SOCMINT forensic analysis skills to produce evidence-driven analysis of information manipulation and interference (IMI) and coordinated inauthentic behaviour (CIB), as well as to support access to credible information.

The AAOSI is part of the joint initiative by CfA’s CivicSignal AI/machine-learning team, iLAB forensic research team, and PesaCheck fact-checking team.
