PhilRights is seeking applications for its PANTAO Human Rights Fellowship on Journalism and Research.

The PANTAO Human Rights Journalism Fellowship is PhilRights’ contribution to the building of spaces for truthful and changemaking journalism. It is intended to provide opportunities for journalists, artists and advocates to conduct intelligent, nuanced and brave reporting on human rights issues.

With the PANTAO Fellowship, they want to support journalism and research projects that reveal state abuses and wrongdoing and their multifarious negative impacts on the human rights and dignity of Filipinos.

Established in 1991 by the Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA), PhilRights serves as the research and information center of the alliance.

Fellowship work is focused on ushering in a society where each individual is able to fully realize one’s potential as a human person, to participate effectively in the economic, political and cultural life, and to share equitably in the benefits of economic progress.
