The Commonwealth Fund is currently inviting applications for its Harkness Fellowships in Health Care Policy and Practice, providing a unique opportunity for mid-career health services researchers and practitioners to spend up to 12 months in the United States, conducting original research and working with leading U.S. health policy experts.
Benefits
Each fellowship provides up to U.S. $130,000 in support (which covers roundtrip airfare to the United States, a living allowance, funds for project-related travel, research, conferences, travel to attend The Commonwealth Fund program of fellowship seminars, health insurance, and U.S. federal and state taxes) for terms up to 12 months, with a minimum stay of ten months in the United States required.
Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must:
- Be citizens of Australia, France, Germany, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, or the United Kingdom.
- There is no age limit for Harkness applicants.
- However, the fellowship is designed for professionals who are at a stage in their career where the Fellowship will have a significant impact on their career trajectory and can use their Fellowship experience to influence policy and practice in their home countries.
