It is an intensive, full-time, two-year leadership development program where Fellows go through rigorous training to be equipped with the right skills, experience and mindset to drive their mission. During this time, Fellows will confront and tackle a host of challenges, learn to adapt their plans in order to achieve their goals, engage with different stakeholders to work towards a shared vision.

What is the Role of a Fellow?
Fellows will teach full-time in high need schools where local communities face different challenges. A Fellow’s key role is to significantly raise the academic achievement, aspirations, and outcomes of their students by:
- Challenging students to set high goals and commit to achieving them
- Creating effective instructional plans to match students’ needs
- Delivering instructions in a clear, compelling, and engaging manner
- Carrying out and analyzing assessments to monitor students’ progress
- Getting to know their students to cultivate a culture of mutual friendship, trust and respect
- Going above and beyond to empower students to shape their own future
- Using creativity and initiative to build new learning opportunities
- Collaborating with other teachers, school leaders and community members

Requirements
- Candidates must be citizens of Zimbabwe and aged between 18-35 years.
- Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree
- Teach For Zimbabwe does not discriminate and actually seeks to engage into the fellowship program professionals from diverse fields in pursuit of its strategic goals of providing all children with equitable and holistic education encompassing academic, cultural, sporting, entrepreneurial learning outcomes.
- Fellows as volunteers will receive a living allowance not a salary during their fellowship, that is competitive with entry-level positions.
- Teach for Zimbabwe fellows are earmarked to be placed in high need public schools throughout the whole country however at the moment the Fellows are been placed in Mutoko District Mashonaland East Province and Chiredzi District, Masvingo Province. Placement is determined by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, according to the needs of their local public schools.
