The United States Department of State Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) is seeking concept notes for its NGO programs benefiting refugees and returnees in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Focus Areas

• In Afghanistan:
  • Protection
• In Pakistan:
  • Protection
    • Priority will be given to programs designed to reduce tensions and improve social cohesion with host communities
  • Child protection
  • Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response
  • Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)
  • Education
    • Priority will be given to programs that support enrollment and retention of Afghan refugee children, especially girls, in Pakistani government schools.
    • Priority will be given to programs that prevent overlap and coordinate with other education programs, if any in the intervention area.

Funding Information

• Award Ceiling: $1,500,000
• Award Floor: $500,000

Eligibility Criteria

• Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with IRS, other than institutions of higher education;
• Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status with IRS, other than institutions of higher education;
• International Organizations.
