Carolyn C. Mattingly Award for Mental Health in the Workplace (US and Canada)

MOORE Equity in Mental Health Community Grants Program - US

Deadline: 31-May-24

The Carolyn C. Mattingly Award for Mental Health in the Workplace recognizes and celebrates exemplary organizations that advance the mental health and well-being of their workforce, while also serving as role models for other employers.

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and The Luv u Project have joined forces to co-sponsor The Carolyn C. Mattingly Award for Mental Health in the Workplace.

They seek to recognize employers with exemplary workplace mental health programs. Through their actions, these employers demonstrate leadership in corporate social responsibility and encourage their peers to adopt effective mental health practices in their own organizations.

The Carolyn C. Mattingly Award for Mental Health in the Workplace (Mattingly Workplace Award) focuses specifically on robust approaches that support employee mental health. Criteria include mental health benefits and resources, workplace policies and practices, leadership support, and efforts to create a positive work environment and organizational culture above and beyond what is offered in a general health and well-being program.

Recognizing that workplace mental health efforts are most effective in the context of an overarching culture of health and comprehensive efforts that enhance employee well-being, the Mattingly Workplace Award is built on the foundation of broad-based psychologically healthy workplace practices including opportunities for employee involvement, health and safety efforts, training and development, work-life support, reward and recognition, and strategic communication.
