Request for Proposals: Hidden Voices Programme in UK

Micro-Grants for Legal Compliance Support for Women-Led/Serving CSOs in Chitral (Pakistan)

Deadline: 21-Jan-2026

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has opened its Hidden Voices Programme 2024-25, offering grants to support accessible, bespoke mental health and wellbeing services tailored for members of the armed forces community whose voices are often seldom heard.

This call aims to empower organisations to create innovative interventions that recognise and address the unique needs of under-represented groups within veteran, reservist, and service personnel populations.

Eligible applicants such as UK-based registered charities, community interest companies, or local authorities can apply for funding of between £3,000 and £25,000 over a period of up to twelve months. Grants are intended for projects that not only deliver targeted mental health and wellbeing support, but also raise awareness of the specific needs of marginalised groups within armed forces communities and foster greater inclusion and learning within mainstream support services.

The programme defines “seldom heard” as individuals or groups whose perspectives, challenges or needs are rarely reflected in mainstream policy or service design. Examples include ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ service members, people with disabilities, or those for whom English is an additional language. The aim is to ensure that these voices are no longer overlooked and that services are both accessible and attuned to their particular contexts.

This opportunity presents an important funding stream for organisations working at the intersection of armed forces communities and mental health, allowing them to design and deliver projects that centre seldom-heard voices, promote inclusive practice, and generate new knowledge and partnerships that can improve wellbeing outcomes across service and veteran populations.
