Deadline: 05-Dec-2025
The Highland Third Sector Interface (HTSI) is offering funding through the Local Improvement Fund to support projects across the Highlands that address drug and alcohol-related harm.
The fund is designed to strengthen community responses and contribute to the Scottish Government’s National Mission to reduce drug-related deaths and harms. Grants of up to £10,000 are available to help organisations deliver activities that expand support, improve wellbeing and create safer, healthier communities.
This opportunity is open to constituted third-sector organisations, charities and community groups that are operating or delivering services within the Highland region. Eligible applicants must have a functioning bank account and be able to provide accounts from the previous financial year to demonstrate their capacity to manage the funding and deliver their proposed project effectively.
Applications are welcomed from a wide variety of non-profit organisational structures, including Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisations, companies limited by guarantee, trusts, Community Interest Companies, co-operatives, community benefit societies and community councils. Organisations that have previously received funding may apply again, as long as they continue to demonstrate strong need and community impact. However, proposals that introduce new forms of support or expand existing services in innovative ways will be particularly encouraged.
By supporting locally led initiatives, the Local Improvement Fund aims to enhance the availability of compassionate, accessible support for individuals, families and communities affected by substance use. This funding presents an opportunity to strengthen community resilience, broaden service provision and develop collaborative approaches that contribute to reducing harm and saving lives across the Highlands.
