Request for Proposals: Supporting Partners Programme (UK)

Micro-Grants for Legal Compliance Support for Women-Led/Serving CSOs in Chitral (Pakistan)

Deadline: 23-Jul-2025

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust is seeking proposals for its Supporting Partners Programme to provide solutions and support for partners of serving personnel, including reservists, to reduce the challenges that service life can present.

Grants available range from £10,000 to £70,000, with projects lasting between one and two years. Projects should focus on improving the mental health and wellbeing of partners of serving personnel, taking into account modern family dynamics.

The programme also aims to increase awareness among service providers and employers about the unique challenges faced by these partners. It encourages projects that make support services more accessible, including for non-UK nationals.

Additionally, projects should help partners build skills and confidence through new opportunities, such as exploring new ways of working or changing careers.

Eligible applicants include registered charities, armed forces units or bases, Community Interest Companies (CICs), and UK universities or colleges. Charities must have been registered in the UK for at least three years and have a minimum of three unrelated trustees.

Statutory organisations cannot apply for statutory healthcare delivery work or projects focused on delivering the Armed Forces Covenant or Duty. Armed forces units must be UK-based or located at overseas defence locations, with a consistent point of contact throughout the project.

CICs must have been incorporated in the UK for at least three years and have submitted accounts to Companies House for that period. They also must have at least three unrelated directors.

Ineligible applicants include individuals, schools, childcare providers, newly registered charities or CICs, other public sector organisations, and charities or CICs based overseas. However, eligible organisations may collaborate with ineligible groups as delivery partners.
