Applicants are invited to apply for the Gilead Asia Pacific Rainbow Grant Program to support projects that focus on people at the center of care.
Focus Areas
Under the overarching theme of the “Fourth 90”, there are three types of projects that they are particularly eager to support:
- FOCUS 1: ACCESS AND QUALITY OF LIFE
- The Access and Quality of Life grants will support initiatives that promote patient-centricity, enhance access to care/information, and the quality of life of people living with HIV. Proposals can include:
- Sexual health and HIV prevention education campaigns;
- Education and awareness campaigns around U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable);
- Access to basic health services including testing, mental health, and well-being programs — e.g.: counselling, vocational training for people living with HIV, health services for older patients, and key population-led health services such as case management, mental health or chemical dependency.
- The Access and Quality of Life grants will support initiatives that promote patient-centricity, enhance access to care/information, and the quality of life of people living with HIV. Proposals can include:
- FOCUS 2: MULTIDISCIPLINARY CARE
- The Multidisciplinary Care grants focus on initiatives aimed at enhancing capacity building for multidisciplinary professions and long-term care. Initiatives include:
- Evidence and research generation projects focused on multidisciplinary care approaches;
- Capacity-building training of healthcare practitioners and non-health experts in psychology and mental health;
- Health literacy training programs for healthcare practitioners and allied health professionals on long-term condition management.
- The Multidisciplinary Care grants focus on initiatives aimed at enhancing capacity building for multidisciplinary professions and long-term care. Initiatives include:
- FOCUS 3: DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
- The Diversity and Inclusion grant tackles discriminatory policies, labor laws and regulations, unjust workplace and HR practices, and social stigma against people living with HIV. Proposals can include:
- Workplace diversity campaigns; Advocacy for antidiscrimination employment or workplace policies;
- Campaigns to address social and cultural stigma.
- The Diversity and Inclusion grant tackles discriminatory policies, labor laws and regulations, unjust workplace and HR practices, and social stigma against people living with HIV. Proposals can include:
Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofit status: Certification of non-profit tax status through an official or government-issued document is required for all applicants.
- Must be established for at least two years upon the time of the grant application.
- Track record of sound financial stewardship and ability to deliver impactful programming.
- Strong commitment to good corporate governance, compliance, and ethics.
- Demonstrated understanding of HIV and affected communities.
- Strong network, partnership capacity, and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Grantees must be in at least one of the following territories: Australia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
