U.S. Embassy in Botswana: PEPFAR Small Grants Program Annual Program Statement

The U.S. Embassy Gaborone Small Grants Office of the U.S. Department of State has announced that funding is available through its PEPFAR Small Grants Program.

The PEPFAR Small Grants Program invites proposals for projects to support Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Faith Based Organizations (FBOs), and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that work directly with communities in promoting HIV/AIDS prevention, testing, treatment, and adherence practices.

The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) is the U.S. Government initiative to control the HIV/AIDS pandemic and seeks to assist countries in achieving epidemic control and an AIDS-free generation. This historic commitment is the largest by any nation to combat a single disease internationally.

The PEPFAR Small Grants Program is funded by PEPFAR, which supports the Government of Botswana in the national response to HIV/AIDS. As part of this national response, the PEPFAR Small Grants Program seeks to support small, grassroots, community-run projects throughout Botswana.
