The Kettering Town Council is inviting applications for its Kettering Winter Fuel Grant Program to people over state retirement age (66+) who live alone, and in the parishes of Kettering and Barton Seagrave.
Applicants must be on a low income of less than £335 a week. Your income must not exceed £325 per week to qualify (ignoring any income from disability living allowance, attendance allowance or war widows pension).
They aim to pay everyone who is eligible by Christmas. They will assess the information you provide, together with additional information they gather, to determine whether you are eligible for a Fuel Grant.
The categories of information they collect are: Name and Address/Age, Contact details (telephone number and email address), Status, Financial information including savings; investments; income; benefit payments, and Bank account detail.
Eligible applicants will have their submissions reviewed based on the information they provide along with additional data collected to confirm eligibility. The evaluation ensures that only those meeting the income requirements and other conditions receive support.
Once assessments are complete, payments are scheduled to be made before Christmas, helping qualifying households manage winter fuel expenses more easily.
