Deadline: 16-Jan-2026

The Art Fund is inviting applications for its Students Grant Programme to enable students to explore an interest in the arts alongside future career options, while providing organisations with extra capacity which is skilled and accountable.

The funding aims to help museums, galleries, and visual arts organisations offer paid, developmental work opportunities to full-time university students.

By offering over 600 admission discounts and weekly communications, students are kept informed of cultural events and opportunities. A key highlight of the programme is its rolling series of paid arts opportunities that enable students to gain practical experience before graduating.

The grant covers up to £10,000 and can fully fund the costs of paying students at national or London living wage rates. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate their own organisational commitment to the project, in cash or in kind.

Art Fund seeks applications from publicly accessible cultural organisations, including museums, galleries, historic houses, libraries, archives, and agencies with a visual arts focus that adhere to sector best practices.

Applications are judged on opportunity quality, professional development scope, organisational impact, and venue location, with preference for projects benefiting many students and promoting public engagement with art.

Art Fund requests that applications be submitted at least eight weeks before a decision is needed, with upcoming deadline on Friday 16 January 2026.
