“onlab web3” is for web3 Entrepreneurs seeking to enter the Japanese market, backing up next-generation businesses in all aspects, including business collaboration, networking, adaptation to regulations and branding and marketing support in Japan.
In the program, leading web3 experts from Japan and abroad will participate in supporting the challenges of startup’s projects through mentoring and providing the community. In addition, by partnering with the web3 global incubator, “onlab web3” aims to become a “web3 global ecosystem from Japan.”
Focus Areas
In the web3 era, as in the Web1.0 and Web2.0 eras, DG will create new contexts and contribute to the development of the global Internet. At first, DG will create the “web3 Strategic Design Task Force,” an organization formed across the group. Next, DG will promote web3 projects in the following three areas:
- Consultation and project design for corporate activities on NFT and Metaverse : Practical support for social implementation of the latest technologies by making full use of the Group asset.
- Support at the Open Network Lab, which already has over 10 years of experience: In addition to Joichi Ito, some of the world’s leading web3 experts will be joined as well.
- Strategic web3 fund will be designed with the participation of global web3 business players: Details will be announced separately as soon as finalized.

Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals or corporations involved in projects or businesses in web3 that have a track record of activity at this time and plan to continue their activities in the future.
- If research results, patents or other intellectual property rights are to be used in participants’ business, the participants need to have the rights to use such research results, patents, or other intellectual property rights in their business and shall not infringe upon the portrait rights , personal rights and any other rights of third parties.
- Participants are required to attend the events and mentoring sessions that will take place during the period of the Open Network Lab web3 program, and to have skills to demonstrate the results thereof.
- Participants must ensure that their business does not violate the public order or morality.
- Individual participants, members of the participating team, their relatives and their stakeholders shall not have any involvement or relationship with any anti-social forces.
- Although participants may apply to the program regardless of nationality, age or gender, participants who do not have Japanese nationality but reside in Japan need to be legally qualified to stay in Japan during the period designated by Digital Garage, Inc. (“DG”) .
- Participants under the age of eighteen (18) need to have acquired the consent of their parent or legal guardian.
