Wave 7 of the Technology Developer Accelerator Programme (TDAP) offers up to £170,000 of grant support to ambitious micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
The programme supports SMEs that are developing early-stage net-zero enabling on or off-vehicle technology, products or services that want to accelerate their route to market and grow. TDAP does this over a 17-month phased programme through a combination of grant funding, invaluable technical support and business mentoring, with industry networking opportunities

Eligibility Criteria
They are looking for SMEs that fit the following criteria:
- The business
- Ambitious UK-based micro, small and medium-sized companies
- Technology developers able to benefit from programme activities and APC engagement
- The technology
- Innovative automotive technology, products and services which accelerate the transition to net-zero carbon automotive products
- Aligns with one or more of the strategic technologies for the UK automotive industry; or
- Outside of these areas but demonstrating a strong automotive impact potential
- Technology areas can include:
- Batteries, their components, management and integration systems
- Fuel cell and associated balance of plant
- Electric machines and power electronics
- Hydrogen storage and management systems
- Lightweight vehicle and powertrain structures
- Manufacturing processes associated with industrialising relevant net-zero technologies
- Direct recycling methods resulting in recovery of critical materials
- Significant reduction in vehicle development timescales
- Digitalisation leveraged during the design, development, testing, production or in-service phases
- Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) where it supports the transition to net zero
- Development status of the technology should be TRL 2-4
